About Our Pastor


Pastor Rickey Johnson is the Senior Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Granite Quarry, North Carolina, where he has ministered for the past sixteen years. He is one that loves to teach and preach God’s word. Under his leadership “The OCH” (Only Christ Here as he refers to it), has experienced tremendous growth in evangelistic vision and ministries for edifying the body of Christ. Pastor Johnson has been called, anointed and appointed by God for Kingdom Building. He is a visionary leader with a kind spirit and charismatic personality that is committed to spreading the love Christ, one person at a time.


Pastor Johnson was called to preach his initial sermon in 1994. Prior to serving and leading Antioch, he was licensed at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Salisbury, North Carolina under the leadership of the Late Pastor Rev. James L. Stowe. While at Gethsemane, he served in various ministries such as Youth Pastor and Board of Trustees. He was ordained in 1999 by the Rowan Baptist Association under the leadership of Moderator O. A. Bass. Pastor Johnson has a passion for serving his community, as shown from his involvement with several organizations including the Board of Directors Meals on Wheels of Rowan County, Covenant Community Connection, Rowan Baptist Association, Salisbury-Rowan Ministers Association, United Ministerial Alliance, Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship, Rowan & Davie County Deacons Alliance, Salisbury-Rowan County Missionary Union and the Mentoring Program at Knox Middle School.


Pastor Johnson is a native of Whitmire, South Carolina and the third born of three children to the late William Lee, Sr. & Helen Jacobs Johnson. He is a graduate of Atlanta College of Medical and Dental Assistants in Atlanta, Georgia and a retired Certified Dental Technician of thirty-nine years. Pastor Johnson furthered his educational knowledge and achievement by attending Leadership Training Class at Shaw University and Liberty University where he received a Certificate in Christian Ministries. He is graduate of Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina with a Masters of Divinity Degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude.



About Our First Lady

First Lady Johnson has served Antioch Missionary Baptist Church alongside Pastor Rickey Johnson for the last sixteen years. She is committed to the service of advancing the Kingdom of God, with a passion for the development of youth and family values. First Lady Johnson is faithful in her commitment to the church, leading the Youth Ministry, serving as Chairperson of Deaconess, Chairperson of Women of Praise Ministry, Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member. She is a praying women filled with a passion for advocating for others. Her warm, humble and personable demeanor is an invaluable asset to the Antioch church family.


First Lady Johnson is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is currently employed with Duke Energy Corporation as an Accounting Analyst. First Lady was raised in Whitmire, South Carolina, the seventh of eight children to the late Wade S. and Rosalea Talley Hunter. She has been happily married to Pastor Rickey Johnson for 43 years. Affectionately known as "G-Mommy", First Lady enjoys spending time with her three very sweet granddaughters.
